DesignerVista 1.0 version supports the following features.
Create and Manage GUI Designs
- Create and edit multiple pages and multiple documents.You can create GUI designs in one or more pages and save them in a document. You can also open and edit multiple documents.
- Clipboard Support.You can cut,copy and paste your designs across pages in the same document or another document.
- Rich set of GUI controls, Icons, Cursors, Panels, Borders and Shapes. DesignerVista supports extensive set of GUI controls. Scroll down to see the complete list of controls.
- Drag and drop Support. You can create GUI design by drag and drop controls from Shapes Explorer Window.
- Easy to use control designers such as Table Designer, Tree Designer etc.
- Customize Rulers and Grids in a page. You can customize visibility of rulers and grids in a page. You can customize the grid properties such as grid size, color etc.
- Reorder and Delete Pages support. You can rearrange or delete pages in a document.
- Native look and feel. DesignerVista supports Windows XP themes( Blue, Green and Silver) and Windows Vista Look and Feel.
Edit GUI controls
- Gradient, Texture, Preset and Pattern Backgrounds support. You can change the background of a control using various colors, gradient and texture patterns. See screenshots and watch demos for more information.
- Pattern Lines. You can create various line types such as dotted line, dashed lines etc. DesignerVista supports about 21 line types with various line thickness.
- Inline Text editing. You can edit text in a control by double clicking on it.
- Shape shadow. You can create shadow for almost every GUI control supported by DesignerVista.
- Undo/Redo. You can undo or redo edit actions in each page.
- Arbitrary zoom support. You can zoom-in to get closer view or zoom out to get better overview of GUI design in a page.
- Page customization. You can change page properties such as background color, Marquee color. You can also customize the handle size and color.
- Image Resize - You can resize an image or keep the original image size or fit to control size.
Layout
- Simple Dialog Layout Management. You can create simple dialog layout by a click on the toolbar button.
- Group and Ungroup Support. You can group two or more controls and ungroup them.
- Controls Z-Order Position. You can bring overlapped controls to front or send them back.
- Controls Position and Alignment support. You can align GUI controls vertically and horizontally.
- Text alignment and Rotation. You can left, center and right align a text. You can also flip vertically or horizontally or rotate to an angle.
Save,Export as HTML, Print and Preview Designs
- Save Multiple documents. You can save multiple documents at once. You can save document properties such as author name etc.
- Export as HTML Files. You can save all the designs as HTML files for easy distribution.
- Copy Drawing in a page as Image. You can create an image of a GUI design in a page. PNG, JPEG and GIF Image formats are supported.
- Scalable Printing and Print Preview. You can print the design either 1:1 scale or scale up/down. You can preview all the pages before printing.
- Customizable Print Options, Page Header and Footer. You can set the Page Number, Page Name, Date,Time etc. in Page Header and Footer section.
