DesignerVista version 5.0 is released on Jan 2, 2012 with the following new features and enhancements.
- UI: Improved Application UI with Ribbon User Interface
- Document Explorer: Drag and Drop support to rearrange pages
- Page Reorder Dialog: Drag and Drop support to rearrange pages
- Added an option to reset UI layouts; If you have rearranged application UI windows, you can reset layouts on click of a button.
- Help: Improved Web Help
- Wireframing: Now you can link a control to URL or a file or a page
- Wireframing: Support to show a page in a control (Template Master Control)
- Wireframing: Support for multiple page template. Now template page can refer another page and the referenced page can refer another page and so on. Handles circular reference.
- Wireframing: Added an option to select "Start up" page in wireframe setup.
- Wireframing: Removed window titlebar
- Slideshow: Added an option to select "Start up" page in slideshow setup.
- Slideshow: Removed window titlebar
- Template Control to show a page in a control.

Java Graphics 2D API provides the basic shapes like Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Ellipse etc, but is not enough. Your java applications or components may require more custom shapes like Rounded Corner Buttons, Oblong, Stars,Folders etc. DesignerVista Shapes library provides shapes often used in Java GUI applications and Components. The shapes library is self contained and no dependencies on other framework or components. So you can easily integrate with your Java Applications or Components.
